A standard poll weighs every vote equally: one participant, one vote. But for a shareholder meeting, there’s a different requirement needed. Because voting power is determined by shareholding, not by a simple headcount. This needs a very specific system of polling.
This is why OnlineWebinar supports weighted poll questions, which are based on a pre-loaded shareholder list containing each shareholder's number of shares. A vote is then weighted in proportion to shareholding, rather than counted as a simple majority vote.
