Release - 3 july 2026

New feature

• It is now possible to reschedule an expired webinar.

Improvements and bug fixes

• Sending a marketing e-mail for a webinar that isn't published yet is now blocked upfront, with a clear message explaining why, instead of only failing after the fact.
• Polished the marketing e-mail experience: clearer recipient status filtering, search and filtering on the Blacklist and campaign recipients pages, and a few small fixes.
• Platform-wide accessibility improvements: buttons that appear disabled now correctly block keyboard activation, and closing a dialog returns focus to whatever triggered it.

Release - 12 june 2026

New features

• You can now send marketing e-mails: either a webinar e-mail tied to one specific webinar, or a general e-mail for broader campaigns. Both start from a default template you can customize per send, and can go to a fixed global list or a list uploaded just for that campaign. You can also exclude accounts already interested in the webinar, so a follow-up campaign reaches only the people who haven't converted yet.
• To power your campaigns, you can build e-mail lists for audiences you'll want to reach more than once. You can manage them via Manage environment > E-mail lists. A list stays editable right up until an e-mail using it has actually been sent.
• Every marketing e-mail includes an unsubscribe link, and everyone who opts out is tracked on the new Blacklist page under Manage environment.
• The Organized webinars page now shows each webinar's on-demand status (Processing, Available, or Failed). Viewers get a heads-up too: while their recording is still processing, the viewer page lets them know it's being prepared.

Improvements and bug fixes

• When starting a broadcast, you can now choose the video quality. High quality needs a fast computer and a stable, high-bandwidth internet connection. Choose Medium or Low if your video stutters, for a smoother experience for your viewers.
• Fixed an issue where webinars broadcast in Firefox could produce an on-demand recording that was way longer than it should be.
• We also made improvements to ensure audio stays in sync with the video.

Release - 1 june 2026

New features

• Users can now delete their own account from the account settings page.
• We have added on-demand deep linking. URLs with a #t timestamp in seconds (for example #t=240 to jump to 4 minutes) or #chapter hash now seek directly to that position in an on-demand video. Sharing a link to a specific moment works out of the box.
• Participants can now be automatically invited by email immediately after a CSV import.
• Invite reminder emails can be configured to send automatically a set number of hours before a webinar starts.
• Invites and invite reminder emails are not sent to accounts that already have shown interest in the webinar.
• Webinar-related emails (invites, confirmations) now optionally include an .ics calendar file attachment so recipients can add the webinar to their calendar directly.

Improvements

• The search in organised webinars now also searches by webinar ID, and results show a combined list of upcoming and past webinars.
• The modal dialog component now uses the native HTML <dialog> element, providing built-in focus trapping, backdrop rendering, and screen reader semantics.
• On-demand seek reliability has been improved.
• The account profile is now hidden when a user is not on their main account.

Bug fixes

• Fixed an issue where switching tabs did not always update the URL correctly.
• Resolved a server-side error triggered by the Altcha widget.
• When requesting a password reset, an error message would occasionally insist the email hadn't been sent, even though it arrived just fine. We've straightened out the confusion.

Hotfix - 21 april 2026

• For some users access to the test page was denied. This issue has been addressed, and everyone can test again.

Release - 13 april 2026

Bug fixes

• Firefox had issues with broadcasting, but no longer!
• The experimental broadcaster option has been removed temporarily from the test suite.
• The webinar recorder could crash when a negative time packet was received. This will not happen anymore.
• Fixed an issue where the test suite could fail to work due to a small time-skew between servers.

Release - 9 april 2026

• Nothing has changed visually, but this is a major upgrade behind the scenes. Pages are now rendered on the server, which means webinar overview and detail pages can be properly indexed and discovered by search engines.

Release - 2 march 2026

New feature

• It is now possible to let a viewer watch a webinar anonymously. When using the share link, participants won't be required to log in when they want to watch the werbinar. You can also generate a code, in which case only a unique url can be used to watch anonymously. The option for this can be found on the Security page for a webinar.

Improvements and bug fixes

• Reconnect SignalR faster when the connection is lost and keep trying indefinitely. "Connection lost" is shown if SignalR is not connected. We have also added logging to SignalR.

New features

• We’ve added an experimental Media over QUIC broadcaster, designed to improve video quality for users who experience stability or performance issues. This option is available now, with plans to make it the default in the future.
• We’ve started work on an embedded webinar viewer, which will make it possible to let viewers watch webinars directly on your own website.

Improvements and bug fixes

• Live and on-demand videos now share the same fullscreen behavior. When supported, we use the native Fullscreen API; otherwise, a fallback fullscreen mode is applied.
• A direct link to the WebRTC connection test page is now available in the options menu of upcoming webinars.
• We’ve added a CAPTCHA to the registration form.
• Sentry.io error logging has been implemented to help us detect and resolve issues more quickly.

Release - 29 december 2025

New feature

• We’re closing out the year with the possibility to add subtitles to your on-demand webinars. You can now generate subtitles after the session, whether your webinar did not have subtitles yet or you want to improve those created during the live event using more accurate post-processing.

Improvement

• Similar to a live webinar, when an on demand webinar has finished, the viewer will now see a 'Thank you for watching' message. Next to the button to return to the homepage, a button to replay the webinar is also shown.

• You can now enable real-time transcription during live webinars. This new (beta) feature automatically converts spoken words into on-screen text, making your sessions more accessible and easier to follow. We’re excited about this one and can’t wait for your feedback.
• Along with live transcription, you can now download and upload subtitle files for on-demand webinars. This makes it easy to edit, translate, or improve your captions.

Improvements and bug fixes

• We fixed an issue where survey and exam totals were not showing correctly.
• Chapter changes are no longer stored before starting a webinar. This prevents missing active chapters when presenters click through slides before going live.

• Participants can now retry exams – perfect for giving a second (or even third) shot at success.
• To keep things flexible, we’ve added an exam retry limit (or set it to unlimited if you’re feeling generous).
• Survey and exam texts (intro, outro, pass, fail) now support Markdown, so you can add a little style to your messages.
• On-demand time tracking has been improved, and is now precise to the second.
• The platform now plays nicely with video input devices that use frame rates other than 30fps.

• Fixed the width of the on demand video player while the video is loading.
• On-demand time tracking now always shows the correct times.
• Occasional SignalR errors will no longer break webinars.

Hotfix - 21 august 2025

• Suddenly a chat message could not be deleted occasionally, causing all kinds of subsequent issues with the chat. This bug has been squashed.

New features

• Added the option to add the organizer as BCC when a follow-up mail is sent to a user.
• Added how often a follow-up has been sent to the follow-up overview. By clicking on this number, a new page with more information is shown, detailing to which users the follow-up has been sent, when it was sent and the score. The data can also be exported as an Excel document.
• Added send follow-up email to API.
• Pause chat scrolling when the user has scrolled up to read older messages, so the chat doesn’t immediately scrolls down when a new chat message arrives. A button is shown indicating the user has scrolled up. Clicking this button jumps to the last message again.

Improvements and bug fixes

• Removed file size restriction when uploading slides.
• A moderator will no longer see a message saying ‘it looks like you are trying to watch the webinar in another window’ when they also want to watch the webinar in another tab or window.
• It is no longer possible to edit the start date or time and duration of a cancelled or expired webinar.
• Empty chapters or a poll with an empty question and/or just one answer will no longer be displayed.
• Fixed a bug where a deleted chat message would still be visible in the All channel.
• It is no longer possible to create a new webinar on a timeslot that is not available. Existing webinars planned on a timeslot that’s not available will show a ‘Reschedule’ button.
• Users who are not allowed to broadcast webinars cannot invite other users to manage the account.

Hotfix - 22 july 2025

• Fixed a bug where the ‘Thank you for voting’ or the poll results were not shown after voting on a poll in an ondemand webinar.

Release - 17 july 2025

New feature

• Added standard chat messages. As a broadcaster or moderator, a list of standard chat messages can be used. By holding down the Control (Ctrl) key on the keyboard, a list of available standard messages will be shown. When the corresponding number is pressed, for example Ctrl+1, the text will be added to the chat input field.
  A maximum of 9 standard messages can be used. The text can managed on the Manage translations page by editing the keys Chat.Standard.Message1 – Chat.Standard.Message9.

Improvements and bug fixes

• The poll answers are now correctly hidden for viewers after voting on a poll where the setting ‘Show poll results to the viewers’ is turned off. Instead, a message ‘Thank you for voting’ will be shown.
• Fixed a small issue in the layout of the viewer in a certain window size range.
• Fixed a bug where sometimes the channel would not become available.
• Fixed a bug where the device selection screen was skipped in rare cases.
• Performance improvement for the viewer, moderator and slide-viewer.

Release - 15 july 2025

New features

• Using the new ‘Invite a broadcaster using a link’ on the share page of a webinar, another presenter can now take over the broadcast. When this person opens the broadcaster while a webinar is in progress, a message will be shown instead of the video. When clicking the ‘Take over as presenter’ button, the other presenter can continue the webinar after resuming the broadcast.
• Added a page to display the settings for the duration of a webinar: the maximum time a webinar can start early, the maximum duration of a webinar and the available extra time. To view this page, a new option ‘Webinar duration settings’ has been added to Manage environment.

Improvements and bug fixes

• Improved the performance of the presenter.
• Replaced Shaka video player with HLS.js to resolve ondemands occasionally not playing on iOS devices.
• Reduced the size of the presenter video in the broadcaster so the slides can take up more space (only in case there are slides present).
• Increased the size of a slide when editing slides in the ondemand editor.
• Add styling for the description text of a webinar. Now when using Markdown in the description will result in properly styled text (headings, links, bold text, lists etc.).
